EDEN Launch

The Employees Disability Equality Network (EDEN) was officially launched in Inverness on Friday 8th April 2011 in response to calls from public sector staff. The launch was well attended with over 50 people in attendance from various public sector organisations.

Working together; Disability in the Workplace

This initiative is a result of an event held in 2010 in Inverness on Disability in the Workplace organised by 9 public sector organisations to explore and tackle disability and equality in the workplace. The organisations involved cover all of Scotland and include:

·             NHS Highland

·             The Highland Council

·             Scottish Natural Heritage

·             Highlands and Islands Enterprise

·             UHI

·             Job Centre Plus

·             Visit Scotland

·             Skills Development Scotland

·             Highland Employer Coalition
