                                        The Highland Diversity Awards 2010

                                        The Highland Diversity Awards 2010 were held on the 27th May 2010 at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness. The awards were held to celebrate a company or a person who deserved credit for the work they have done, or included in their workforce people who may otherwise have had difficulty finding or remaining in work. Or someone who had been able to find or remain in work despite significant difficulties and overcoming either personal or social barriers to do so.

                                        The Award Partnership comprises of bodies who are active in the Highland area and work independently with employers and  individuals to promote an inclusive approach to employment and employability.

                                        RagTag n Textile Win Scottish Award

                                        The Highland Employer Coalition are delighted that Rag Tag ‘n’ Textile, who were the winners of the Highland Diversity Awards Social Enterprise category have now gone on to win the Scottish Union for Supported Employment – Scottish Award

                                        The winner of the Social Firm award was Rag Tag ‘n’ Textile from Kyle of Lochalsh. This award category recognises good practice and innovation in creating employment opportunities for severely disadvantaged people in this sector, and awards Social Firms which demonstrate a supportive, inclusive and empowering working environment.
